Beth! That was incredible..but I do LOVE Van Morrison (if you ever hear of him coming to town, let me know)and Mr. Hooker DEFINES cool, thanks for sharing
Man. As in Van "The Man", man.
And, you just about couldn't go wrong with John Lee Hooker, either.
"Gloria" is clearly one of the greatest songs ever written, man.
Van "The Man"...rules!
Very cool. I went to "share this video" after it played and the first one listed on the page was a duet between Van "the man" and Bob "the real man" Dylan singing "Crazy Love".
I'm having a great day.
Thanks for sharing.
Excellent choice Beth. Funny that the other day MellowLee did a post and put up the video for Patti Smith doing the song on SNL.
HOLLYC: I checked his tour dates. He's not coming to Atlanta or the Southeast any time soon, but I'll keep an eye out for us.
PATRICK: My role in this great universe is the spread the gospel of great tunes. Glad you're still enjoying that MP3.
HAAHNSTER: From Them's original ... to Patty Smith's incredibly angry cover ... to this one ... yep, it's one great song.
KEITH: Isn't it wonderful how a great song or two can make a day a great one?
DALE: I'll have to check it out! You know how I love Patty's version! Must be a "Gloria" kind of week.
Next thing you know Laura Branigan's ghost is going to pop up.
Not yet, Dale. Guilty Pleasures week is next week. Enjoy yourself as I embarrass myself with music and viewing confessions.
Guilty pleasures week???
This should be goooooood...
Sounds like fun!
