Looks like we bypassed another Armageddon. Now I can book that hair appointment ...

I thought for sure me turning 40 was a sign of the apocolypse, but I'm glad it didn't happen on my birthday. I'd get a real complex then. :)

I'm kind of glad it is August 23...
the Pravda article is interesting, I haven't looked at that before.

onmywatch-tell the truth, your world didn't even flip when you turned 40? I'm like, a month away from the big 4-0 and mine is rockin' already.

HOLLYC: I thought you'd enjoy the Pravda. But I'm not a registered WSJ reader, so I couldn't pull the original. Glad we're all still here today!

ONMYWATCH and MARY: Trust me when I tell you that your forties will be great. I'm 47, and this has been my best decade yet. I even attract more male attention now than I did when I was in my mid-thirties.

Why all the concern about foreign threats from Islamic terrorist in the middle east? We have important concerns like when will Barry Bonds break the home run record or who will win the next American Idol or will Tom Cruise get another movie deal. But, don't worry more Americans can name two of Snow Whites dwarfs than can name two Supreme Court justices.

I think we had a much closer run with Armageddon when Jessica Simpson and her ex-hubby appeared at the same event a couple of nights ago.

Of course, if that would have been in Jerusalem, we'd all be screwed.

Mary - hell yes, I panicked like crazy and tried hard to put on the brakes but it's not as though I had to be fitted for false teeth or there was a need for arthritis medicine all of a sudden.

Don't freak yourself out too much, it's not that big of a deal. :)

Whew! I thought you meant we were being threatened with a sequel to that Bruce Willis movie Armageddon.
