Associated Happiness

So, I’m vegging in front of the TV. A commercial comes on with a song that always gives me happy feet:

The Buzzcocks: “Everybody’s Happy Nowadays”

I’m up and dancing around my fabulous new den, ready to buy whatever is being advertised. And, yes, I will be buying … in 26 months.

It’s an ad for AARP.

I guess fifty really is the new cool. Or so I’m telling myself.
