Who Needs Klosterman or Fricke

when you have Stephen Colbert?

This is one of the best, most insightful — and, well, damn funny — interviews with R.E.M. I’ve ever seen. The Peabodiment of TV news anchors threw some tough questions at my boys, but they held up under all that scrutiny — and made me laugh until I cried.

The boys performed “Supernatural Superserious” — and the performance is on “The Colbert Report” Web site.

I am loving Michael's style these days. The boy knows how to wear a suit, doesn't he?

Acceleration week continues!

I've been thinking about you all week, all this REM news on the telly!

I also think of you when I listen to sirius radio channel 18 - as REM has taken over the airwaves... rem, 24 hours a day with no commercials? oh hells yeah.

Rock on Beth

This segment nearly caused me to shat myself. Once again, Colbert blows the lid off of a new scandal. Who knew that Mr. Stipe was a huge poon hound?

I couldn't get it to play, but I do concur on Stipey's style these days. I was thinking the same thing myself - there's a man made to wear a suit.

But wait a minute. I love the Chuck. If he had done the interview, maybe it would have been even better, or had more South Dakota references in them. Rock!
