Who Needs Klosterman or Fricke
when you have Stephen Colbert?
This is one of the best, most insightful — and, well, damn funny — interviews with R.E.M. I’ve ever seen. The Peabodiment of TV news anchors threw some tough questions at my boys, but they held up under all that scrutiny — and made me laugh until I cried.
The boys performed “Supernatural Superserious” — and the performance is on “The Colbert Report” Web site.
I am loving Michael's style these days. The boy knows how to wear a suit, doesn't he?
Acceleration week continues!

That was fantastic. Nice, um, product placement near the end of it. ;)
the movie wouldn't load, my company blocks comedy central, i'm in hell.
I've been thinking about you all week, all this REM news on the telly!
I also think of you when I listen to sirius radio channel 18 - as REM has taken over the airwaves... rem, 24 hours a day with no commercials? oh hells yeah.
Rock on Beth
That was a great interview. I'm going to go check out the song now.
This segment nearly caused me to shat myself. Once again, Colbert blows the lid off of a new scandal. Who knew that Mr. Stipe was a huge poon hound?
dang, it wouldn't let me play. Just directed to the comedy central site.
I'll try again tomorrow because it sounds fantastic from the comments
Just wonderful, I loved that!
I couldn't get it to play, but I do concur on Stipey's style these days. I was thinking the same thing myself - there's a man made to wear a suit.
But wait a minute. I love the Chuck. If he had done the interview, maybe it would have been even better, or had more South Dakota references in them. Rock!
what is good for GM is good for REM.
