MyDataBus is messing with me today ... on par with the rest of the week. We'll get this week's mix tape — a Might Aphrodite classic-in-the-making — up and running as soon as possible, once I slap that online glitchy b*tch into shape.

The Day the Music Died

Sadly, kids, there will be no Mix Tape this Friday. MyDataBus.com — that wonderful site where I store and link the great tunes we share here on Fridays — for some reason has "temporarily" disabled file uploading. Which means I couldn't upload any of the great dance tunes planned for today. If file uploading is enabled sometime today, I'll get that post up so you can get your dance down. If not, check back next Friday for another brilliant mix.

That title's a bit over the top, I know ... but I'm a bit of an
over-the-top girl. And I hate letting you down.

I was April-fooled

... and I was my own damn joker. I'm a woman. I'm supposed to trust my intuitions, right? But no, not this weekend. Against my better judgment, I stayed in Atlanta Saturday night, instead of zooming up to Athens to catch The Minus Five's final show of the tour. And what did I miss? Only all four R.E.M. boys on stage, performing "Country Feedback."

Berry. Buck. Mills. Stipe. And where was I? Seventy miles away, doing nothing special. I'm still kicking myself.
