People Who Understand You: Priceless
Had dinner tonight with Holly, one of my very favorite people on this earth — and one of Cup of Coffey's most loyal readers. It's liberating to spend an evening with someone who knows you better than most, who gets you, who just plain loves you. I'm one lucky girl.
The contentment of the evening reminded me of my favorite Mastercard commercial. I love these boys.

OMG, I love that commercial!
I still think that Christoper Walken sang the song bestest in "Click."
But, you are 100% right-- if there's ONE THING a body needs in this universe, is OTHER bodies who just plain GET IT.
My girlfriend and I were lying in bed when we suddenly both broke into a Donna Summer's song, which I sang in a lovely falsetto.
Good times.
Nothing beats having the FUNK and someone to share it with.

Love YOU Beth! wonderful evening, good for the souls.
I have to confess, I don't know if I can dance any better than those little white boys......let's get together again and give it a whirl.
That's a cute commercial - I haven't seen that one up here.
Sure, it's all fun and cute when little boys do it. But I try and dance on the street with my backpack on JUST ONCE, and the perv police come and haul me away...
looks like the halls of Argyle elementary school outside my 4th grade class.
I certainly hope both you and Holly wore your best backpacks with which to do da funk.
Even if that 'priceless' tag line is overdone, when you're in a funk, you gotta get the funk and friends with the funk are funky but in the good way. That's a lotta funk. Maybe I should just say "glad you had such a good time".
I saw this the other day. Love this commercial.
I love that. There aren't many people who get me and stand by me.
hats off to your friend.
Sweet, sweet, sweet mercial.
There's nothing like being with a friend who knows every inch of you inside and out.
